For additional job search help, she started working with National Senior Network’s Senior Services in Massachusetts. Through the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP), Penny educated to enhance her abilities and strengthen her job search strategies. Although it was difficult at times, Penny labored diligently with the staff at National Senior Network to find a fulfilling profession. Her coaching and perseverance paid off as Penny just lately began her new full-time career a few weeks in the past! Anything is possible should you never hand o ver! I was decided to search out the job that may give me everything I was looking for. If I saw a spot that was hiring, I dropped off my resume. I would do this even when they weren't hiring nevertheless it was a spot I wished to work. I followed each lead that came earlier than me. I would go and introduce myself, allow them to see who I was. The one factor I discovered hardest was overcoming the age barrier. It did not matter to me that I was going to turn sixty eight on my next birthday; I had the power and stamina of an 18 yr old and the experience and the work ethic of 45 years in a variety of space. I am assured about my work. I give 150% to any job I actually have ever had. My work is a mirrored image of who I am, the place I even have come from and the things I even have realized about individuals and the world round me. I wanted to let the employer see that and discuss to me to show them how a lot I needed to supply. I got here into the SCSEP program and I was going to ben efit from it and be taught every little thing I might probably be taught. Remember, when one individual says no, just maintain going. There is somebody who will say sure. We are so pleased with Penny for achieving her career aim!
